The Eliyah Message

December 17, 2008
The “Eliyah message” demands that we make a decision: “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord (YHWH) is God, follow Him; but if Baal is god, follow him” (1 Kings 18:21).

“Truth has never been measured by numbers. Elijah stood practically alone against the 850 prophets of Baal and Asherah supported by Israel’s government” (verses 19,22).

Ultimate deliverance for the human race will not come through any economic programs or political parties. It will come from outside, from outerspace, when Jesus, the Messiah, returns as the Deliverer of His people.

When the Israelites escaped from Egypt and were about to cross the Red Sea, Pharaoh pursued them with his army. But Moses encouraged the frightened Israelites: “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13,14

Apostate Christianity plus all the apostate religious forces, will lead ALL the political powers on earth to unite in one common cause, waging war against God’s true followers! This is the last demonic war pictured in Revelation. War against God is war against God’s people, the true followers of Christ.

“The battle of Armageddon will not be World War III because at Armageddon the kings of earth are assembled by demons to fight not so much against each other as against the Lamb,” the true followers of Christ. God Cares, Mervyn Maxwell vol 2. p. 442.

The ultimate purpose of Christ’s return is not just the destruction of Babylon but the rescue of His true followers (“those who keep the Commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus” Rev. 12:17), and the establishment of God’s sovereign rulership in His universe. Read more…

Remember The Alamo!?

March 4, 2008
Who Looks Foolish, Alamo Heroes or Us?
by Chuck Baldwin
March 4, 2008

During this week back in 1836, the Alamo fell. For more than 13 days, 186 brave and determined patriots withstood Santa Anna’s seasoned army of over 4,000 troops. To a man, the defenders of that mission fort knew they would never leave those ramparts alive. They had several opportunities to leave and live. Yet, they chose to fight and die. How foolish they must look to this generation of spoiled Americans.

It is difficult to recall that stouthearted men such as Davy Crockett (a nationally known frontiersman and former Congressman), Will Travis (only 23 years old with a little baby at home), and Jim Bowie (a wealthy landowner with properties on both sides of the Rio Grande) really existed. These were real men with real dreams and real desires. Real blood flowed through their veins. They loved their families and enjoyed life as much as any of us. There was something different about them, however. They possessed a commitment to liberty that transcended personal safety and comfort.

Liberty is an easy word to say, but it is a hard word to live up to. Freedom has little to do with financial gain or personal pleasure. Accompanying Freedom is her constant and unattractive companion, Responsibility. Neither is she an only child. Patriotism and Morality are her sisters. They are inseparable; destroy one and all will die.

Early in the siege, Travis wrote these words to the people of Texas: “Fellow Citizens & Compatriots: I am besieged by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna. . . . The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise the garrison are to be put to the sword . . . I have answered the demand with a cannon shot & our flag still waves proudly from the walls. I shall never surrender or retreat. . . . VICTORY OR DEATH! P.S. The Lord is on our side. . . .”

As you read those words, remember that Travis and the others did not have the A.C.L.U., P.E.T.A., People for the un-American Way, and the National Education Association telling them how intolerant and narrow-minded their notions of honor and patriotism were. A hostile media did not constantly castigate them as a bunch of wild-eyed extremists. As school children, they were not taught that their forefathers were nothing more than racist jerks.

The brave men at the Alamo labored under the belief that America (and Texas) really was “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” They believed God was on their side and that the freedom of future generations depended on their courage and resolve. They further believed their posterity would remember their sacrifice as an act of love and devotion. It all looks pale now.

By today’s standards, the gallant men of the Alamo appear rather foolish. After all, they had no chance of winning–none. However, the call for pragmatism and practicality was never sounded. Instead, they answered the clarion call, “Victory or death!”

Please try to remember the heroes of the Alamo as you watch our gutless political and religious leaders surrender to compromise and political correctness. Try to recall the time in this country when ordinary men and women had the courage of their convictions and were willing to sacrifice their lives for freedom and independence.

One thing is certain: those courageous champions at the Alamo did not die for a political party or for some “lesser of two evils” mantra. They fought and died for a principle, and that principle was liberty and independence. So did the men at Lexington and Concord. That is our heritage.

Today, however, our national leaders are in the process of turning America over to the very forces that the Alamo defenders gave their lives resisting. On second thought, do they look foolish, or do we?

A Two-Party Death Grip

February 15, 2008

by Chuck Baldwin
February 15, 2008
It is time to say it: the two major parties hold a death grip on the American people. Instead of representing the people, both the Republican and Democrat parties are bought and paid for by special interest groups and multinational corporations. Neither party pays any attention to the U.S. Constitution but both are largely marching in lockstep toward bigger and bigger government. Both Republicans and Democrats eagerly sacrifice what’s good for the country for what’s good for the party. As they now exist, neither major party deserves the support of patriotic Americans.

Furthermore, blind allegiance to the two major parties has created a “lesser of two evils” mindset that has warped the thinking and perverted the values of otherwise good people. What people would never accept in any other venue of society, they gladly and willingly accept from their chosen party’s candidates.

People expect honesty and integrity from clergymen, bankers, doctors, businessmen, realtors, journalists, and even used car salesmen. Those same people, however, quickly tolerate and even excuse dishonesty and chicanery from their chosen political party.

Ever since George W. Bush became President of these United States, I have watched in disbelief as my fellow Christian conservatives have not only looked the other way as Bush repeatedly betrayed conservative/constitutional principles, but have willingly and enthusiastically supported his apostasy. Many of them are continuing to do the same thing by supporting the Big-Government, pro-amnesty, pro-gun control, pro-100-year war, grubby candidacy of John McCain. Good grief! Pat Robertson even endorsed the soiled candidacy of the liberal cross-dresser, Rudy Giuliani.

It is clear, therefore, that conservatives are more than willing to support and defend someone they know to be unfaithful to both their oath of office and to bedrock conservative principles. In other words, it does not matter a whit to them whether their candidate tells the truth, obeys the Constitution, or even demonstrates fidelity to the fundamental principles of liberty. If he has an “R” behind his name, conservatives will support him.

However, the same people who will justify dishonesty in the lives of their favored party’s politicians would never accept such conduct from anyone else. Furthermore, many of these conservatives actually call themselves Christians; many are preachers. They preach and teach the virtues of honesty and integrity from the pulpit. They teach boys and girls to be honest and virtuous: to put the principles of right above personal wealth or benefit. Then, they turn around and support these lying politicians, many of whom are fornicating, greedy, arrogant reprobates. What is even more amazing is that they find no inconsistency with what they are doing.

In his Farewell Address, our first and greatest President, George Washington, eloquently lobbied the American people to guard against over-infatuation with political parties. Anyone reading his warnings today will be impressed with his insight and wisdom. Virtually everything he predicted has come to pass. Blind loyalty to political parties has corrupted our public institutions, blinded the hearts and minds of the American people, and opened wide the door to undue foreign influence.

If everyone who believes and teaches honesty and accountability would put it into practice when they walk into the voting booth, we could put a stop to this pathetic practice of electing dishonest and despicable people to high public office. Instead of hiding their own character and integrity under the bushel basket of party partisanship, voters could be proud of the fact that they are actually helping to set the ship of state aright by electing men and women of honesty and character.

Although I do not share this opinion, many people believe Abraham Lincoln to be one of America’s greatest presidents (I think he was one of the worst). Personal opinion aside, it is a fact that Lincoln’s election and subsequent influence upon this country was huge. Therefore, it is more than significant to realize that Lincoln was first elected from a four-person race with only 39% of the popular vote. Even more significant is the fact that at that time the Republican Party was a minor party, having been formed only a few years earlier. So much for the argument that a minor party cannot win a major election.

In practically every Presidential election, there are candidates from a variety of independent or “third” parties on the ballot. To ignore them merely because they are not Republicans or Democrats is absurd. Furthermore, it is more than obvious that the GOP will not tolerate principled candidates running for President. The recent Presidential candidacies of Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, Alan Keyes, and Ron Paul make this abundantly clear.

While it may still be appropriate to support state and local Republican candidates, at the Presidential level, it is waste of time–and a wasted vote–to support the establishment Republican candidates. They are all Big-Government liberals. Yes, that includes Mike Huckabee.

I recommend that people seriously consider voting for a Third Party candidate this November. Start by taking a close look at the Constitution Party.

The Constitution Party (the third largest political party in America) has a proven track record of fidelity to pro-life, conservative principles and to constitutional government. I further believe it is time for principled columnists and journalists such as Charley Reese to start encouraging voters to support principled, independent candidates. The same goes for leaders of the Religious Right such as Tony Perkins, James Dobson, and Phyllis Schlafly. For them to continue to ignore good, independent candidates only serves to strengthen and augment the two-party death grip.

It is more than interesting that more people are currently registered as Independents than either Republican or Democrat. But it is not enough to register as an Independent, we must start voting Independent. Remember, the object is to elect honest and honorable leaders for our country, not to promote and protect the private agendas of the fat cats who control the two major parties.

It increasingly appears that the two major parties will force the American people to choose between the fascistic John McCain or the Marxist Barack Obama. Is that really the kind of choice we are willing to accept? Are we really content to continue to vote the “party line,” no matter what damage results?

Let’s face it, folks: the two major parties are strangling the life out of this country. It is indeed a death grip. Something drastic must be done, and it must be done NOW! Since it does not appear that either major party is salvageable (at the national level), it is up to “We the people” to take matters into our own hands. This means bypassing the mainstream press and relying more on the Internet for our news and information. And it means bypassing the two major parties and voting for Independent candidates for President.

If Michael Bloomberg throws his hat in the Presidential ring, it will already be a three-man race. A strong independent conservative contender would make it a viable four-man race (just like 1860). At that point, anything could happen. But first, we must awaken to the reality of the two-party death grip, and then decide to do something about it. I am ready. How about you?

King of All Nations

November 12, 2007

by Mike Farris

A kingdom consists of four elements… 1) the king’s domain, or territory,  over which he reigns, 2) citizens or subjects, 3) laws, and 4) administrators to teach and administer the king’s law, or government, with equity (no respecter of persons) and justice for all (same punishment for same crime). In an earthly kingdom, the people die for the king; in the heavenly Kingdom (the one Jesus came preaching), the King dies for the people.

Jesus Christ is the King of all the nations because of Who He is. Jesus has not overthrown another king to make His claim. He is King lawfully by divine appointment… “the earth belongs to the LORD, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.” (Psalm 24:1).  God the Father has decreed Him to be King: “But as for ME, I have installed MY King upon Zion (a permanent capitol)… and I will give the nations for your inheritance.” (read all of Psalm 2).   God has anointed and sealed Him to His regal office. God has set the crown upon His head.

Jesus came to earth to announce the Kingdom of God. The time has come for Christians to demonstrate to all nations there is a superior form of government. After His resurrection, Jesus spoke to his disciples saying, ” All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations”… (Matthew 28:18-20). An earthly king is only authorized to administer the law of God, not make his own laws. In the Kingdom of God there are only two branches of government… administrative and judical… no legislative branch is needed  because man cannot improve upon the law of God.

Ecclesiastes 12:13: Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

The “kings” of the earth are in their postions for one purpose only… to administer the Law of God. They have no authoriy, even though they have power, to go above and beyond the Divine Law. Just because the “kings” of the nations are in rebellion to the Kingdom of God and His righteous rule, does not negate His authority. One may ask, if Jesus has all authority, why doesn’t He use it to subdue the nations by force? That’s typical carnal thinking… might makes right. Jesus taught that His Kingdom is not of this worldly way.

All actions originate in the heart (Mark 7:20-23; James 4:1), and acknowledging Jesus Christ as King must began in the heart. Instead of ruling by force as man does, from the top down, Jesus sets up His throne where no earthly king can break in and steal – in men’s hearts. No nation can survive forever unless Jesus Christ is acknowledged as King and the people embrace His Law which insures personal and national peace and prosperity.

The written Word of God in the only standard for earthly kings’ rule: “Now it shall come to pass when he (earthly administrators) sits on the throne (holds an office) of his kingdom, he shall WRITE for himself a copy of this (God’s) LAW on a scroll in the presence of the Levitical priests (judges in the Law). And it shall be WITH him, and he shall read it all the days of his life that he may LEARN to fear (respect) the LORD his God, by CAREFULLY OBSERVING ALL THE WORDS OF THIS LAW and these statutes (Deuteronomy 17:18-19). The earthly kings, as well as his people, come under God’s Law.

For those who doubt that the Kingdom of God is a reality, the Bible emphasizes that all people are Christ’s subjects in a variety of ways.

First, Jesus speaks to Nicodemus about the necessity of a “new birth”, a comprehensive transformation of the carnal nature of man (John 3:5-7). Mankind is not ‘sick’ and will get better with scientific advancements, rather mankind is “dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1). Only the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit can make a dead man live. The fundamental issue is ethical, not medical or psychological. Read the book, SonPlacing, by Garrison Russell to learn how to obtain the Life of Christ… in you the hope of glory.

Second, the written Word of God must be acknowledged as the only rule of faith and practice. Law is not found in the vote of the people (if voting changed things it would be illegal), the decree of the courts, or the pronouncements of rulers. The Law of God is Christ’s the King’s Law; therefore, it must be obeyed to live. God gives man only two choices…Life or Death. Furthermore, being set free in Jesus Christ liberates neither citizen nor ruler from the guidance, obligations, and benefits of the Law (Romans 3:31), only the final curse (penality) of the Law (Galatians 3:13).

Third, the regenerate mind is renewed (Romans 12:2). Every individual operates from a particular view of the world in his mind, and evaluates all life from this perspective… meaning his chosen religious presuppositions. True Christianity is not a religion, it’s the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Prior to acknowledging Christ as King, all life is seen from man’s carnal prespective: “For as a man thinks within himself, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). The new creature in Christ will start to evaluate life from the prespective of the Word of God, and began to think God’s thoughts, “taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Fourth, those who do not want Jesus as King “will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them (not by force, but with His mercy and love) … and those who are with Him are called the chosen and faithful” (Reveleation 17:14).

How then, can the blessings of real peace, prosperity, and happiness be secured which will assure liberty and guarantee justice for all? King Jesus answered this question when He said, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness (which is the perfection of the administration of the Laws of that Kingdom); and all these things ( the needs of life of which He had been speaking) will be added (that is, given) unto you” (Matthew 6:33).

This is a call for all Christians, from the least to the greatest, to restore the administration which God established over the Kingdom. God gave us the Laws of Righteousness which His people are instructed to administer. This Divine Charter of National Administration of establishing equity, justice, and liberty is only possible when the  Divine Law is kept personally and nationally. And while God never granted man (or any group of men) the right to make law, He absolutely enjoins all nations to keep, observe, and administer His Laws. Get a copy of the book, Digest of the Divine Law, by Howard B. Rand, available from Stone Kingdom Ministries.

Learn the Divine Law, teach it to your children and grandchildren. Be the “salt and light” God called you to be. Become an overcomer, even as Jesus Christ overcame, and sit with Him on His throne (James 1:12; Revelation 3:21). Pledge your allegiance to the Kingdom of God.

Christ himself says the Law is to be fulfilled on earth. Our earthly life is a ‘dress rehersal’ for Kingdom service.

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.  For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.  Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:17-19)

Our Father which art in heaven… Thy Kingdom come… Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely

September 27, 2007

Consortium News

It’s said that over time Presidents – especially two-termers – imbue the nation with their personalities and priorities, for good or ill. If that’s true, it could help explain the small-minded mean-spiritedness that seems to be pervading the behavior of the United States these days, both at home and abroad.

On a global level, the world reads about trigger-happy Blackwater “security contractors” mowing down civilians in Baghdad, the U.S. military killing unarmed people under loose “rules of engagement” in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and the CIA “rendering” suspected Islamists to secret prisons or to third-country dungeons where torture is practiced. Inside the United States, too, a police-state mentality is taking hold.

After more than six years of having dissent against President George W. Bush equated with disloyalty, police from Capitol Hill to college campuses are treating vocal disagreement as grounds for violently “taking down” citizens, while bouncers at campaign rallies hustle away prospective hecklers and police preemptively detain protesters or stick them in faraway “free-speech zones.”

On Sept. 17 at a University of Florida public forum with Sen. John Kerry, D-Massachusetts, journalism student Andrew Meyer asked an animated question about Kerry’s hasty concession after Election 2004.

Meyer then was accosted by several campus police officers who dragged him away and wrestled him to the ground. Despite pleading with police “don’t tase me, bro,” Meyer was “tasered” with powerful electric shocks as he screamed in pain. [Watch the YouTube video by clicking here.]

Overseas, it now appears that Bush has authorized “rules of engagement” that have transformed U.S. Special Forces into “death squads,” much like those that roamed Latin America in the 1970s and 1980s identifying “subversives” and murdering them.

According to evidence emerging from a military court hearing at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, U.S. Special Forces are empowered to kill individuals who have been designated “enemy combatants,” even if they are unarmed and present no visible threat.

The hearing involves two Special Forces soldiers who took part in the cold-blooded execution of an Afghani who was suspected of leading an insurgent group. Though the Afghani, identified as Nawab Buntangyar, responded to questions and offered no resistance when encountered on Oct. 13, 2006, he was shot dead by Master Sgt. Troy Anderson on orders from his superior officer, Capt. Dave Staffel.

Classified Mission

As described at the hearing, Staffel and Anderson were leading a team of Afghan soldiers when an informant told them where a suspected insurgent leader was hiding. The U.S.-led contingent found a man believed to be Nawab Buntangyar walking outside his compound near the village of Hasan Kheyl.

While the Americans kept their distance out of fear the suspect might be wearing a suicide vest, the man was questioned about his name and the Americans checked his description against a list from the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force Afghanistan, known as “the kill-or-capture list.”

Concluding that the man was insurgent leader Nawab Buntangyar, Staffel gave the order to shoot, and Anderson – from a distance of about 100 yards away – fired a bullet through the man’s head, killing him instantly.

The soldiers viewed the killing as “a textbook example of a classified mission completed in accordance with the American rules of engagement,” the International Herald Tribune reported. “The men said such rules allowed them to kill Buntangyar, whom the American military had designated a terrorist cell leader, once they positively identified him.”

Staffel’s civilian lawyer Mark Waple said the Army’s Criminal Investigation Command concluded in April that the shooting was “justifiable homicide,” but a two-star general in Afghanistan instigated a murder charge against the two men. That case, however, has floundered over accusations that the charge was improperly filed. [IHT, Sept. 17, 2007]

The major news media has given the case only minor coverage focusing mostly on the legal sparring. The New York Times’ inside-the-paper, below-the-fold headline on Sept. 19 was “Green Beret Hearing Focuses on How Charges Came About.”

However, the greater significance of the case is its confirmation that the U.S. chain of command, presumably up to President Bush, has approved standing orders that allow the U.S. military to assassinate suspected militants on sight.

In effect, these orders have reestablished what was known during the Vietnam War as Operation Phoenix, a program that assassinated Vietcong cadre, including suspected communist political allies.

Through a Pentagon training program known as “Project X,” the lessons of Operation Phoenix from the 1960s were passed on to Third World armies in Latin America and elsewhere, allegedly giving a green light to some of the “dirty wars” that swept the region in the following decades. [For details, see Neck Deep: The Disastrous Presidency of George W. Bush.]

Blackwater Killings

Besides the periodic controversies over U.S. military killings of unarmed Iraqis and Afghanis, the Bush administration also is facing a challenge from the Iraqi government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki over the U.S. Embassy’s reliance on Blackwater security contractors despite their reputation as crude and murderous bullies.

On Sept. 16, Blackwater gunmen accompanying a U.S. diplomatic convoy apparently sensed an ambush and open fire, spraying a busy Baghdad square with bullets. Eyewitness accounts, including from an Iraqi police officer, indicated that Blackwater team apparently overreacted to a car moving into the square and killed at least 11 people.

“Blackwater has no respect for the Iraqi people,” an Iraqi Interior Ministry official told the Washington Post. “They consider Iraqis like animals, although actually I think they may have more respect for animals. We have seen what they do in the streets. When they’re not shooting, they’re throwing water bottles at people and calling them names. If you are terrifying a child or an elderly woman, or you are killing an innocent civilian who is riding in his car, isn’t that terrorism?” [Washington Post, Sept. 20, 2007]

The highhandedness of the Blackwater mercenaries on the streets of Baghdad or the contempt for traditional rules of war in the hills of Afghanistan also resonate back to the marble chambers and well-appointed salons of Washington, where swaggering tough-guyism reigns from the Oval Office to the TV talk shows to Georgetown dinner parties.

Inside the Beltway, it seems there’s little political mileage in standing up for traditional American values, such as the rule of law or even the Founders’ historic concept of inalienable rights for all mankind.

On Sept. 19, Senate Republicans blocked an up-or-down vote on a bill seeking to restore habeas corpus rights against arbitrary imprisonment for people whom Bush unilaterally has designated “unlawful enemy combatants.”
Bush’s supporters portrayed those who favored habeas corpus restoration as impractical coddlers of America’s enemies.

“This is purely a matter of congressional policy and national policy on how we want to conduct warfare now and in the future,” said Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Alabama. “Are we going to do it in a way that allows those we capture to sue us?”

The Republicans also prevented a direct vote on a plan to grant longer home leaves to U.S. troops fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Those two factors – obedience to Bush’s claim of unlimited power as he wages his “war on terror” and refusal to relieve some of the pressure on American troops facing repeated deployments to the front lines – are almost certain to keep making matters worse.

The mix of tired and desperate soldiers operating in an environment in which every person on the street is viewed as a potential suicide bomber is a formula for continued abuses, endless slaughter and deepening hatreds.

Back home, Americans who ask too many annoying questions or don’t demonstrate the right attitude toward government leaders can expect to encounter the hostility of an incipient police state, a thug nation that reflects the pugnacious arrogance and the contempt for dissent that is the stock and trade of the nation’s current two-term President.

Divine Law

August 29, 2007

by  Mike Farris

Has the Divine Law been “put away” or “nailed to the cross”?  While the Ten Commandments are universally accepted as the highest moral code, there are other God-given laws which define the true standards of health, monetary regulations, taxation, interest, debt, and all other aspects of moral, social and economic conduct of the individual, family, and the nation. We are bound to these laws just as surely as we are bound by the Ten Commandments, or the law of gravity. To the extent that we fail to respect and follow all of God’s laws, personally and nationally, our nation will suffer the curses spelled out in the 28th chapter of the book of Deuteronomy. Read that chapter and compare it with what you see happening in our country, and around the world.

From the internal evidence in the Scriptures, it is shown that the Divine Laws have never been abrogated. Christian believers and their leaders alike fail to understand the various parts of God’s laws. Read my Blog: The Levitical Priesthood of Tennessee.

The teaching of God’s laws on all levels is dreadfully lacking today. Pastors, Bible teachers, and every student of political science should study the whole body of the laws of God given in the Scriptures for the benefit of mankind. Although they are frequently mentioned, their application in our daily life is usually ignored and misunderstood. Only the ceremonial rituals carried out by the Levitical priests were “put away”, or “nailed to the cross”.

The DIGEST of the DIVINE LAW  by Howard B. Rand was first published in 1943 and points out the fact that we face the rule of law or chaos. It sets forth the justice, equity, and righteousness of the Law of the Lord.  When the entire range of Divine jurisprudence is comprehended, and its precepts are obeyed, individual prosperity and national well-being will be the beneficent result.

The 1983 printing in hardcover is still available at the unheard-of low price of $9, plus $4 shipping from:  At that price, you can purchase a copy for yourself and your Pastor.  Howard Rand was one of the most prolific and knowledgeable authors on Bible subjects during the 20th century. An attorney by training, he was eminently qualified to write on the subject of Divine Law. God blessed Dr. Rand with long life, he was 103 years old at his death. The following is only a partial listing of specific topics covered by the Laws of the Lord.

1. Organization of government

2. Scope of government

3. Qualifications for office-holding

4. Government revenue

 6. Ownership of natural resources

Finding God In Physics

August 27, 2007
Chapter One

from FINDING GOD IN PHYSICS by Roy Masters
B i g   B a n g ’ s    L i t t l e   P r o b l e m

“For the scientist who has lived by faith in the power
of his reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He
has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about
to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over
the final rock, he is greeted by a small band of
theologians, who have been sitting there for centuries.”

Astrophysicist Robert Jastrow

The fact that the universe appears to be expanding leads cosmologists to conclude the universe was created by a hot, explosive event they call the “Big Bang.” However, there are some questions with regard to this theory, beginning with the little problem of the “singularity,” that infinitely dense, infinitely hot mass which science says caused the explosion. How did it get there in the first place, and where did all the heat come from? And then there’s the big problem of time; when did it exist, and how? In the process of considering these and other limitations of a hot bang theory, another possibility of creation comes to mind—a cold bang that requires no pre-bang mass or time, but simply requires God.Science says, rightly in my view, that the universe is expanding. But even with our light-sensitive technology, how do we really know? If we are indeed peering across billions of light years of space as they say, looking backwards into time at light reaching our telescopes from an expanding universe, then is it not possible that the expansion we see coming from the past is no longer happening back there right now? What is happening out there in the distant galaxies will surely not be seen for another few billion years. So how can we be so sure of an ever-expanding universe, merely by observation? What we see now is really ancient history. For all we know, the universe could already be collapsing. I am only trying to make the point that there are some things in science that cannot be fathomed by calculation based on observation. Observation as scientific technique cannot go far enough. It needs the partner of Einsteinian intuitive observation (looking through the mind’s eye) based on sound philosophical theory establishing principles which then can be confirmed through scientific observation.

Pure scientific observation is not enough to complete the cosmological quest. Telescopes which can only register starlight reaching us now from billions of years ago cannot possibly know what is happening to those stars where they are now. It is not that telescopes are wrong in what they observe; they are just physically too time bound. Of course, empirical research in cosmology is always physically time bound and thus always limited.

The startling reality of Einstein’s achievements is that he leaped ahead of empirical science through his unique intuitive approach. His inspired deductive powers gave mankind an understanding far ahead of mere mortal observation. The reason Einsteinian science is so important as a partner to observation is that there is a natural limit to human observation, a barrier beyond which we cannot go. Because we are time bound, there is a limit to what we can see, and thus, Einsteinian second sight, not being time bound, can penetrate the natural barrier of space/time and fathom the mysteries that elude our telescopes.

At the risk of belaboring the point, let me put this another way. What if there were an astronomer on some far flung planet in space, billions of light years away, looking at us with our light that has traveled all that distance in time to him? Could he not conclude that our movement is away from him, due to light’s red shift? Could he not be under the same impression as we are in perceiving a young universe in its early stages? So which way is the past? And which way is out? It’s all relative to who does the looking.

There is no way of knowing by observation what is happening out there now. As far as past and future are concerned, it is not possible to know about a “beginning” from our frame of reference. We simply don’t know where it is or which way it is. It matters not that we on Earth are moving out with this so-called universal expansion. The fact remains that we are looking out at billions of years of ancient cosmological events, and they (if alien astronomers exist), looking back at us, would see us as nearer to the beginning of the creation event.

Now, the universe may well be expanding, but as I said, some things cannot ever be known by calculation from observation, simply because a calculation based upon such things as “which way is past” is flawed.

Questioning the Big Bang Theory

Let us look at the basic problem of an atheistic Big Bang Creation Theory which begins with “something” infinitely dense and infinitely hot—whatever that means—with no explanation about what it really is, whence it came, or how it actually came into being. It is claimed that the entire universe sprang from what physicists call a singularity, perhaps “something” only as large as the period at the end of this sentence. Whatever the size, the very concept of an already existing “something” (large or small) is a contradiction in terms of science. In a real beginning, none of the laws of science would have existed. There was no such thing as size, dimension, mass, time, length, depth, width, heat, not to mention the dynamics of what they call a “bang.”

A mass of infinite density, infinite temperature, infinitely small and compressed, is an already existing creation. So we must ask ourselves this question: What is this “thing”—infinitely small, dense, and hot—that already existed before the “Big Bang”? From where did it come, and how did it exist without time and space in which to exist? Nothing can exist in this dimension without space/time to precede its existence.

Order to Chaos to Order?

A clump of infinite density cannot possibly explain creation. Who or what made this lump so compressed that when it was unleashed or unlocked, it exploded into the infinite expanse of the universe? What is the mechanism that triggered the bang? Again, we are alluding to laws of science that didn’t yet exist. And what is the underlying law of a chaotic explosion like the Bang? Can lightning strike a junkyard and create a brand new Mercedes? Where is the meaningful unfolding order, the scientific progression of causes and effects? A big bang is an explosive/destructive thermodynamic event. It is a blowing up, a flying apart process; it is a breaking up or down process; it is an “expanding” descent from “order” to chaos, from hot to cold. According to the laws of thermodynamics we should be going from efficiency to inefficiency, leading to a dying universe. (I am not saying the laws of thermodynamics don’t apply; they just don’t apply to the initial process of creation.)

But what process am I really describing? Behold, a creation made of an endless procession of wonders. Not a universe breaking down, but one coming together, unfolding logically from one principle into another—hydrogen becoming stars, and stars giving light as they change their hydrogen fuel into the heavier elements, the substance of which planets and living things here on earth are made. And before hydrogen? A similar process of unfolding, creating the tiniest particles, the building blocks of the elements themselves, and all following a pattern formed out of an initial, orderly, creative principle, rather than a destructive, chaotic event.

The “Big Bang” Time Problem

The problem of time is twofold. First, for a Big Bang creation event to happen, time would have to precede the event. The question is: How does it do that? What is the dynamic that would cause the existence of time before any creation event? Scientists are not clear on this question. They have another problem with time. In their concept of a Big Bang creation event, the Bang would cause time “wind” to ripple or blow in an outward motion from the center of the explosion. In other words, although omnidirectional from a center frame of reference, from our point of view time would have to be consistently one-directional. And yet, I believe I can show time as a consistently omnidirectional wind, meaning it comes from all directions at once—the effect being that time predictably slows down as we move in any particular direction. If the Big Bang model were true, the effect on time would be quite different. The reason is that if time were one-directional, and you were driving with the time “wind” in the same direction, time would begin to slow down as you caught up with the time wind. However, if you traveled in the opposite direction towards the “Big Bang center,” then the time wind would have to “blow harder” against you, and hence time would move faster, relative to you. This does not happen. A clock ticks consistently slower in every direction that one chooses to travel through space. Therefore, time cannot be one-directional.

Furthermore, how can we explain a Big Bang creation event without time preceding it? Events can happen only in time. Were there no time, there could be no procession of causes and effects. For a Big Bang to occur, time had to precede the event—and that’s impossible. Why? Because even if it did exist before the explosion, how could time escape the phenomenal gravity that would inevitably result from such an inexplicably dense mass—so dense, in fact, that it is not really “mass” as we know it?

Consider the mind-boggling gravity of a black hole, believed to be a star collapsed in on itself; this pales by comparison to the “original” density we are discussing. And yet, a black hole is supposed to be mass of such inconceivable density and compression that a teaspoon of such matter might weigh five million tons on earth. Its gravity is so powerful that everything—matter, light, even time itself—gets sucked in, disappearing down a drain hole where all known laws of science cease, and nothing more happens.

But no matter how dense a black hole might be (and they say there are quasars that can swallow whole galaxies), nothing that we know of could possibly compare with the gravitational pull of that mythical, original singularity that supposedly caused the Big Bang. What physicists describe as infinitely hot, infinitely compressed, infinitely dense, unimaginably small, etc., this pre-bang density would have a gravity of such magnitude that nothing could possibly escape it, not even time. What “pushing out” force can overcome such a “pulling in” gravity?

Of course, all this theorizing ignores the simple question: Who or what created the original density? Something already created certainly can’t be called a creation event. Clearly they are saying that the universe had a beginning; but then by all logic, it should have a Beginner, an uncreated Creator. After all, the laws of science are profoundly suggestive of an ordering Mind. And yet science keeps leaving Him out of the event by starting the universe with an already existing “lump.” Is the “lump” itself to be considered the Prime Mover of all existence and maker of the laws thereof? Can you seriously imagine all the profound complexities of the universe coming from a mindless lump?

Universal Geometry of Motion and Stillness

This book is about creation through an energy field scintillating in the darkness, creation out of what appears to be a nothing before time began. Black holes are not necessarily destructive; rather, they may be expressions of creation happening billions of years ago, witnessed now through our telescopes. Creation, I say, is a geometric symphony, an endless variation of motions and stillnesses. Here, the word nothing is quite precise, because matter is composed of an extra-dimensional no-thing, yet-to-be things. The key principle presented here is that matter and the progression of matter are made of an unrolling variation of one geometrical theme—original motion and stillness (energy and the apparent absence of energy). While motion can exist only with a relative stillness to define it, perfect creation stillness is able to exist without motion; all other “stillnesses” are relative stillnesses, which is to say they are in motion. All the building blocks of nature have some kind of nucleus-center that is relatively still compared with the motions around it. Just as these relatively still “centers” are essential for the existence of matter, so is a perfect inertial center also essential for the existence of the whole universe.

If the universe is in motion (and we know it is), then there must be an absolute rest to define that motion. This absolute stillness surrounded by the “all” of absolute motion establishes a pattern followed by the rest of the universal building blocks, from atoms to planets. Atoms and planets involve relative motions with relative stillnesses at their centers; however, in the case of the creation event, this still center is not relative but must be a pivotal point of absolute rest—The Absolute Rest Center—the unmoved Mover of all things that are created and that move.

Can a solar system exist as a complete whole without a central and (relatively) still sun? Would it remain a solar system? Obviously not. Can wheels turn without an axle? Can atoms exist without their nuclei? Would they remain atoms? No, they would be reduced to something less than themselves. Everything orbits, circumorbits, cycles, or circles around some kind of center-event-cause. Even plants and other living things revolve in life and death cycles.

Can you think of anything in your life, or in this universe, that doesn’t involve such a system? Even man’s life ought to revolve around, and be centered in, his Creator. The redeemed, spiritually in-breathed man (God-centered) manifests the ultimate physical and metaphysical cycle, the living, breathing poetry of ultimate motion and rest.

The question once again is, can the universe, in absolute motion, exist without an absolute inertial rest to define it? In the context of Einstein’s theory, the answer is no, for in his view nothing can be considered to be in motion unless it’s compared to something relatively at rest.

Plato said that time and the succession of change is the moving image of eternity according to number. The absolute place of Universal Stillness, which gave birth to Original Motion, is the model from which all relative motions and relative stillnesses derive. Without these centers of relative stillness defining the motions that become the geometric progression called creation (a universe made of an infinite variety of interconnecting, spinning, orbiting, circumorbiting balls), there could be no creation.

The Geometry of One

The ancient Greek mathematician Pythagoras maintained that “one” is not a number, but the underlying continuum initially containing and giving birth to all numbers. And that “one” is the underlying unity and starting point for all systems, the root nature of all things, ourselves, the earth, and the universe. Modern science confirms his mathematics of creation. Of what, may we ask, are the elements comprised? Numbers, atomic numbers. A hydrogen atom differs in properties from a lead atom only because its nuclear properties differ, meaning the number of “moons” (electrons) that are circumorbiting an equivalently numbered, but differently charged nucleus. The essences themselves aren’t different, only their charge and their numbers.

The energy essence that makes up the electrons of the hydrogen atom is the same as the essence of those of the lead atom—electrons are electrons in both. And the same with the protons and neutrons in the nucleus. It is only the numbers that change the properties of the respective elements, giving them spectacular new forms and functions, from the giant redwood tree to a sparkling diamond. What I am saying is that from the first “One” in the beginning, everything is everything else in a creation symphony, a geometry of never-ending, complex, orbiting numbers—just as Pythagoras’s never-ending complexity of numbers developed out of the simplicity of one. It is the geometric growth of one added to itself, and so on, in a spectacular creative flow—and not a “bang” produced by a lump.

War Is A Racket…part 1

August 27, 2007

by Mike Farris

War is a racket. Very few wars are fought for ‘freedom’ or to ‘spread democracy’. And if you think democracy is something  fine and good, you have been brainwashed, programmed, and indoctrinated, with ANTI-AMERICAN propaganda. If you think it’s good that American and British lives and property are being used to spread democracy, your ancestors are spinning in their graves. For the full story, read my blog, Why Americans Have No Rights.

Wars are fought for profit… someone, or some corporation, makes a lot of money selling weapons to both sides, and controling the assets of the targeted ‘enemy’. Most people get along just fine until a criminal element in and out of government decide to go to war. These warmongers know that people will not  support a war for territory or natural resources. Here’s how the scam works. First, they covet something the other country has that they want to control. If they can’t make a deal with that country, they buy some politicians (and they’re a dime a dozen) to start a propaganda campaign against  that country. Does “Gulf War I” ring a bell? After they drum up enough support they provoke, or create, an incident to make the people angry enough to  fight.

It worked in the Spanish American War… “Remember the Maine”, WWI was billed as “the war to end all wars”, WW II… “Pearl Harbor”, and it worked again, September 11, 2001… the “9/11” tragedy. If one will recall, the United States and Great Britain supported Saddam in the Iraq/Iran War for eight years. In return for that support, they expected Saddam to sell control of Iraqi oil fields to Standard oil and British Petroleum. When Saddam reneged on the deal, he became enemy number one. Then the criminal element in government made sure the people would support a “War on Terror” with an “attack”, and the ‘bought’ politicians invaded Iraq and Afghanistan… where it just so happens Big Oil wants to build an oil pipe line to a  seaport in Iraq.

The United States, and its British ally, has been fighting this “War on Terror” for longer than it took to win WW II…  with no peaceful end in sight. The world is a much more dangerous place, but the warmongers and their friends are much richer. Saddam is dead, and dead men tell no tales. The designated ‘boogey-man’, Bin Laden, is probably a CIA spook and living large somewhere on the French riveria. He shows up just long enough to make another propaganda video. The government hasn’t made any progress in locating this “terrorist”, have they? Why is that? Typically, when someone commits a crime and the government wants to prove the fact, an indictment is written up, evidence is presented and the alleged perpetrator is formally charged with a crime.

The Bush gangsters have jailed and tortured thousands, invaded Afghanistan, and destroyed Iraqi society resulting in the deaths of over 600,000 civilians since 2003 – but they still have not gotten around to indicting or even formally seeking Osama bin Laden’s arrest in connection with the 9/11 attacks.

Iraq is a cash-cow for contractors

And, now if anyone exposes these warmongers, they become a target. Read the following Associated Press report.

The Seven Primordial Epochs

August 23, 2007

by John Smith

Okay I must admit there are some articles that are more fun to write than others. This is one of those articles. Over twenty five years ago many of the teachers who exposed my family to the truth of our physical inheritance in Abraham also exposed us to many other “unconventional truths”. One of those ideas was the concept that the seven days of creation in Genesis 1 actually referred to seven epochs lasting hundreds of thousands of years or more, instead of twenty four hour periods.

As the years progressed I have been exposed to the “Creation Science” thoughts held by many insisted on a “young Earth” less than 7,000 years old. It has always been striking to me that while the proponents of these theories are always quick to insist they don’t believe in evolution, their theories related to the “young Earth” hypothesis and the corollary of a global flood in the days of Noah, actually believe in an evolutionary process taking place in only six thousand years. Proponents of belief system reject that idea that creatures slowly evolved through a process of natural selection over the course of millions of years, and instead insist that all races of man, and the different species of animals, insects, and birds evolved from the sampling of creatures on Noah’s Ark which sailed less than 4000 years ago. The idea that every race of man and most of the animals on earth could have “evolved” into the diversity we see today is even more preposterous than the notion that they evolved over the course of millions of years.

Furthermore, it is always striking to me that “Creation Scientists” in particular will embrace “evidence” as a matter of faith. Noticeably absent from their though process is the normal and healthy process of scepticism and critical analysis. On the contrary anyone who questions the latest “proof” is labeled a “anti-Christ” or even worse an “evolutionist”.

It was refreshing to come across the work of Dr. Hugh Ross, who himself professes a belief in our Savior, and a critical understanding of scientific evidence pertaining to the geologic / fossil record of the ancient happenings on our beautiful planet. While he rejects the idea of biological evolution, he points out that the fossil record clearly portrays the process outlined in Genesis. He has done a great deal of research and makes excellent presentations showing that science and scripture can be in complete harmony even without the fanciful ideas expressed by those claiming to be “Creation Scientists”. While I would heartily embrace, and deeply appreciate the work of Dr. Ross I also recognize that he is also a man, and that his work also likely contains errors often linked to his misunderstanding of scripture and Yahweh’s plan for us.

Before I present the research I have discovered through my own investigation, please let me make one thing crystal clear. Under no circumstances do I embrace, support, advocate or mean to elude to the idea of biological evolution or “speciation”. There is no rational scientific evidence to suggest that any species has ever morphed into another species. There might be similarities in the anatomies of some lizards and some rodents, but that does not suggest that one evolved from the other. Rather, that they were created to endure similar circumstances or environments.

Instead of a biological mutation from one species into another I believe in a series of specific creations and catastrophes that altered the population of our planet, as the environment and topography changed. One group would be entirely wiped out and replaced with a new creation by Yahweh of another sometimes similar species more suited to the new environment or circumstances.

So when you see animals listed below, I do not believe that dinosaurs “evolved” into birds. Rather I believe they were each created for a distinct and specific purpose, but had significant biological similarities. Yahweh created specific animals to fill their place in the ecosystems of each successive age of his creative process preparing earth to be inhabited by his children. Animals, birds, reptiles, gastropods and fish did not evolve, but the environment did.

One of the most important aspects of this knowledge is the understanding is the recognition of the methods Yahweh uses to create. Yahweh uses natural forces that often appear to be catastrophic to produce outcomes that we would perceive as being supernatural. The ancient history of our planet is evidence that at times his actions can be perplexing, but at all times are working according to a perfect plan to produce an outcome motivated by perfect divine agape love. Just as Yahweh brought a host of natural elements together to fashion the earth into a host for life, so to he uses apparently destructive processes into our personal lives to develop His Spiritual life within us.

Both his spiritual and physical laws are in perfect harmony, working together to make us into His image and likeness.

Below is a chart that illustrates that the progression of creation as illustrated in the fossil record is in perfect agreement with the progression of creation listed in Genesis. This is by no means an exhaustive account of this information, but it is a reference point for further discussion. Please feel free to send comments and questions about the idea. I would love to discuss it in greater detail.

Even the most radical of Evolutionists would admit that the time periods they suggest are at best educated guesses, based on the assumption of constants in elements of change. Catastrophes and radical circumstances could drastically alter the time frame, but the laws of physics (just as divine and the ten commandments) won’t support the “Young Earth” idea. So it is reasonable to take the “millions” and “billions” listed below with a “grain of salt”, but the fact that we are talking about a creative process lasting MUCH longer than 6000 years cannot be avoided.

America’s Pastors

America’s Pastors: Preachers Of Truth Or Promoters Of Tyranny?
by Chuck Baldwin
August 21, 2007

Once again, the burden of responsibility to help maintain America’s liberty rests upon the shoulders of the men in the pulpits. That should not surprise us, because it has always been this way. Part of what made America great was old fashioned, tell-it-like-it-is, no-nonsense preaching. Most of what we hear today is a bunch of mealy-mouthed, pussyfooting, ear-tickling, don’t-offend-anyone preaching, which has largely contributed to America’s current slippery slope into the sewer. But if you thought it could not get any worse, guess again.

A startling television news report from Shreveport, Louisiana has revealed a sinister plot hatched deep inside the diabolical brain cells of the Bush administration to use America’s pulpits as promoters of tyranny. That is a strong statement, I know. But it is true.

According to KSLA television in Shreveport, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) intends to use America’s preachers to help pave the way for martial law in the event of another terrorist attack upon the United States.

The KSLA report (which you can read for yourself here: ) begins, “Could martial law ever become a reality in America? Some fear any nuclear, biological or chemical attack on U.S. soil might trigger just that. KSLA 12 has discovered that the clergy would help the government with potentially their biggest problem: Us.”

The report continued by saying, “[G]un confiscation is exactly what happened during the state of emergency following Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, along with forced relocation. U.S. Troops also arrived, something far easier to do now, thanks to last year’s elimination of the 1878 Posse Comitatus act, which had forbid regular U.S. Army troops from policing on American soil.

“If martial law were enacted here at home, like depicted in the movie, ‘The Siege’, easing public fears and quelling dissent would be critical. And that’s exactly what the ‘Clergy Response Team’ helped accomplish in the wake of Katrina.”

The report went on to say: “[C]lergy response teams would walk a tight-rope during martial law between the demands of the government on the one side, versus the wishes of the public on the other. ‘In a lot of cases, these clergy would already be known in the neighborhoods in which they’re helping to diffuse that situation,’ assured Sandy Davis. He serves as the director of the Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.

“For the clergy team, one of the biggest tools that they will have in helping calm the public down or to obey the law is the bible itself, specifically Romans 13.”

Dear Reader, are you getting this?

In order to convince American citizens to surrender their firearms to the government during a time of martial law, DHS is enlisting the assistance of America’s pastors. According to the DHS, my job as a church pastor, is to tell my congregation that, according to Romans 13, they must surrender their firearms when the government asks them to do so.

Of course, faithful readers of this column know that I have already addressed the Romans 13 question. See

For those who are ignorant of Romans 13, let me address the issue bluntly: According to Romans 13, every citizen is only bound to obey his or her governing official to the degree that the governing official does not violate the duty of the citizen to obey the “higher powers” which, for Americans, are God and the U.S. Constitution. In other words, no Christian can be ordered to disobey God, and no American citizen can be ordered to disobey the U.S. Constitution. Properly understood, Romans 13 teaches that each and every governing official (including the President of the United States and all those under him) must submit to the U.S. Constitution.

Article. VI. Paragraph. 3. of the U.S. Constitution states, “The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution.”

So, what does the Constitution say regarding the disarmament of American citizens? The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution could not be clearer: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Did you get that? “[T]he right of the people to keep and bear Arms, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.” [Emphasis added]

Therefore, any attempt to disarm the American people must be viewed as an act of tyranny and must be resisted.

The right to keep and bear arms is rooted deep in American history. I remind readers that it was the attempted gun confiscation of the colonists’ arms, which had been cached at Concord, Massachusetts, that directly precipitated the beginning of America’s fight for independence.

America’s founders were clear on this subject. Our first President, George Washington, called our firearms “the people’s liberty teeth.” Our third President and author of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson, said, “No free man shall ever be de-barred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain their right to keep and bear arms is as a last resort to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”

America’s founders spoke unanimously on the subject. Patrick Henry said, “The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able may have a gun.” Samuel Adams said, “The said Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.”

And what did the Lord Jesus Christ tell His followers on this subject? Jesus said in Luke 11:21, “When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace.” Did you see that? Jesus said that in order for a man’s goods to be “in peace” it was necessary that he be ARMED. Now, I don’t know about you, but I will take the word of Jesus over the word of a DHS official anytime.

Furthermore, Jesus told his disciples in Luke 22:36, “[H]e that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.”

Upon hearing the words of Jesus, Simon Peter responded by saying, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” (vs. 38) That means at least two of Jesus’ disciples were armed with swords (the 1st Century equivalent of a modern handgun, something used for personal protection), and Jesus did not rebuke them or ask them to surrender their swords. He merely said, “It is enough.”

I realize that after Simon Peter used his sword to cut off the ear of the man as soldiers came to arrest Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus told him to “put up thy sword.” But notice, He did not tell him to “give up” his sword; he merely told him it was not time to use it, because it was in the plan and providence of God that Jesus be taken to Pilate, that He might be crucified for our sins.

Don’t tell me that the Bible teaches pacifism, because it doesn’t. I am a Christian, and I am a pastor. And I agree with Charlton Heston who said that they could have his guns “over my cold, dead hands.” If DHS believes that I will ask my congregation to give up their firearms, they are grossly mistaken.

It also needs to be pointed out that, apparently, DHS must already be planning to declare martial law in the United States or else this kind of advanced strategy would not even be necessary. Why would they already be asking pastors to be prepared to request their church members give up their guns if they did not intend to declare martial law?

Now, what every single church-going Christian in America should immediately find out for themselves is, What does my pastor intend to do? Will he ask me to surrender my guns, or not? I highly encourage every reader who currently attends church to ask your pastor this question RIGHT NOW.

Of course, the next question Christians need to ask themselves is, What will I do if my pastor says he would ask me to surrender my guns to the government? I suggest that every church member in America settle this matter right now. And if you discover that your pastor would indeed ask you to surrender your guns (or equivocate by saying he would have to “pray about it”) if asked to do so, you should immediately leave that church and find a pastor who believes the Bible and supports the U.S. Constitution. Furthermore, if you do not currently own a firearm, you might want to heed the words of Jesus and go buy one.

So, once again, the burden of responsibility to help maintain America’s liberty rests upon the shoulders of the men in the pulpits. Will we be preachers of truth or promoters of tyranny?
